First Blog!

Welcome to our first SEED Blog entry. We created this blog page to tell the public why we do what we do. We’re going to be sharing the voices of employees as well as some of the youth we work with. There's a lot we will be talking about, so I’ll give you a short rundown.

Employee Point of View:

In order for youth to succeed in creating their own path and striving for a better future, they need to have the skills to navigate life. SEED staff work diligently to help youth develop their employability skills and are passionate about the work they do.  They will contribute different pieces about why we do what we do and how it benefits youth.

Youth Point of View:

Our vision is to have youth share the importance of what we do based on their personal SEED experience. Sharing what the youth have learned, how it has impacted their lives, and their greatest takeaways from the programs will give the public a clearer insight into what we do and our overall mission.

My place in it all:

As the co-op student here at SEED, I will be sharing my opinions as a youth who is able to voice the importance of building the foundations these programs deliver. Having the right foundations on things like employability can be seen as stepping stones to creating a brighter future.

Stay tuned for more!
