Entry Level Job Board

We are looking for an energetic, kind, dependable person to join our team for the summer season from April - September for approximately 4 shifts per week, weekends and evenings included.

Our shifts range from 4-6 hours each. We are a small but mighty team - your role is important and therefore reliability is a must.

Customer service experience and kitchen prep experience are assets.

We spend our time scooping ice cream cones, making milkshakes & coffees, rolling burritos, providing wonderful customer service to our community and working with others in a busy bustling environment.

All associates are expected to become experts of the brand's selling behaviors, leveraging these behaviors with every customer who walks through our doors and allowing us to provide a premium customer experience.

Acknowledge and assist customers; locate merchandise efficiently using various methods; answer questions quickly and accurately

Offer style and outfit suggestions to the customer, utilizing mannequins and displays for inspiration

Promote loyalty by educating customers about our loyalty programs

Leverage omni channel offerings to deliver a frictionless customer experience

Support sales floor, fitting room, check out, and back of house processes, as required

Courteous and responsive to internal/external request

Exchange and verifies job related information to provide support

There is never a dull moment as you will be working around the store (inside and out) in many different areas to help maintain our high standards for store appearance and provide fast and friendly service to our customers.

You will interact with many customers daily, all while working in a fun, energetic environment accomplishing daily tasks around the store!

Responsible for the pet parent experience and outcomes conducted in person, over the phone, at the sales register and online.

Greets pet parents and answers their questions throughout the store.

Prepares online orders for pick-up in store and ensures a smooth, positive, pick-up experience.

Responsible for the pet healthcare of store owned pets, which includes feeding, watering and cleaning all pet habitats (bird, reptile, small animal, cricket, and fish aquariums).

Maintains total store cleanliness standards.

Supports the store with weekly price changes and monthly promotional pricing.

Stages and sorts new product to match sales floor planners.

Faces, fills, and recovers products to meet sales floor standards.

Recommends, informs, and sells merchandise, services and live pets.

Administers store owned pet medications as directed by veterinarian

Promotes special events such as adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, charity events, etc.

Ensures a safe environment for our associates, pets, and pet parents.

Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed.

Assists and works in various areas throughout the store (including services) as required. Other duties may be assigned.

As a member of Tim Hortons at the IWK, you will be responsible for creating a positive experience for every customer, co-worker and supplier while working in the store.

You will be cross-trained as Counter Staff

Supporting the store in providing great customer service and generating sales

As a Baker, preparing the popular Tim’s products throughout the day

Supporting cost control by following proper baking/finishing procedures 

Following/maintaining the store's production sheets and maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment.

Perform a variety of sales/customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction

Operate a computer point of sale system

Maintain floor displays

Conduct merchandizing and inventory control

Maintain a high level of postal products, services and delivery knowledge

Process financial transactions (cash, cheques, debit & credit card payments)

Receive, sort, sequence and batch mail items

Partial High School

No previous experience required

Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.

Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.

Promotes company sponsor programs, i.e., credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.

Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.

Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.

Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.

Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.

May be required to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching
