This is not a one-station job. Some days you’ll be packing wholesale bakery orders. Other days you’ll be picking and packing online grocery orders going across Canada. You may also help receive stock, clean work areas, support the bakery team or assist in the shop when needed.

Main Responsibilities
Wholesale bakery packing
You’ll help prepare our British-style baked goods for wholesale customers across Nova Scotia. This includes:
Wrapping and packing meat pies and other baked goods
Labelling products accurately
Dating products correctly
Checking quality, appearance and freshness before items leave the building
Making sure wholesale orders are complete, organized and ready to ship
Keeping packed products neat, clean and consistent
Attention to detail matters. Our wholesale customers rely on products arriving looking professional, correctly labelled and ready for sale.
Online order fulfilment
You’ll also help pick and pack online orders for our imported British grocery website. These orders ship Canada-wide, including long-distance shipments to Western Canada.
This includes:
Picking products accurately from order lists
Packing fragile items such as glass jars, biscuits, crisps and grocery products
Wrapping parcels carefully so they can handle shipping
Checking orders for accuracy before they leave
Helping keep the online order area clean, stocked and organised
A big part of this role is caring about the customer opening the box at the other end.
Receiving and stock support
You may also help receive grocery deliveries and get products onto the shelves or into storage.
This can include:
Helping unload and move grocery stock
Checking deliveries against invoices or packing slips
Organising stock quickly and accurately
Restocking shelves and storage areas
Keeping products tidy and easy to find
This is a physically active role involving standing, bending, lifting, carrying and moving stock during the day.
Cleaning and general support
Everyone helps keep the workplace clean and sanitary. Duties may include:
Sweeping and mopping
Sanitising surfaces, handles and work areas
Cleaning trays, tables and packing areas
Keeping storage and packing areas organised
Helping the bakery or shop team with small tasks when needed
