1.      Customer Service

Many businesses need a representative to manage calls, chats, and emails. This industry looks for people who have strong communication skills, basic computer skills, and patience. These roles are great for youth, as they may offer flexible hours and hybrid opportunities.

 

2.       Food Services

The food and restaurant industry is a huge part of Halifax and Dartmouth, especially during the summer months. Employers look for skills like teamwork, attention to detail, and time management. Roles in this industry are great for youth, as they often offer part-time hours and frequently hire individuals who are just starting their career journey.
