Stewart Zuan - Chair
Stewart brings a dynamic blend of entrepreneurial leadership, operational expertise, and community focused service to his role as Chair of the Board. With a career spanning more than two decades, he has worked extensively with youth, small businesses, and community organizations, demonstrating a deep commitment to positive social impact.
An experienced Entrepreneur and Chief Operating Officer, Stewart also serves as a Director of Logistics for a small business, where he strengthens organizational systems, builds effective teams, and supports sustainable growth. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts (Interdisciplinary Studies) from Mount Saint Vincent University. Alongside his leadership in business environments, he is an Instructor in the Social Sciences at NSCC, helping guide the next generation of community-minded professionals.
Throughout his career, Stewart has embraced lifelong learning, consistently seeking out new innovations and exploring ways they can benefit communities. His background spans a wide spectrum—from skilled trades to community development—giving him a unique perspective and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Stewart has contributed his expertise to numerous boards, including the Automotive Sector Council, the South Eastern Community Health Board, and the Healthy Minds Cooperative, where they supported initiatives focused on workforce development, community health, and mental-wellness advocacy.
Known for empathy, positivity, and unwavering “can-do” attitude, Stewart is always willing to step in and help. Outside of his professional and volunteer commitments, Stewart and his wife enjoy caring for their dogs, chickens and bees. Stewart embraces all the beauty Nova Scotia has to offer and loves nothing more than to be out on the boat with family and friends.
