Tori's Final Thoughts

As my winter co-op term with SEED comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on what has truly been a transformative experience. Being part of an organization so deeply rooted in community, empowerment, and meaningful change has been incredibly rewarding, and I feel incredibly grateful to have had the chance to contribute to SEED’s mission.

Throughout my role as Administrative and Communications Coordinator, I had the privilege of working closely with the S2S team, and learning more about the impactful work being done through YEP. From behind-the-scenes support to participating in workshops, I saw firsthand the energy, care, and dedication that goes into helping youth. From building confidence, gaining skills, and preparing for their futures. It was especially inspiring to read the feedback from participants of how these programs are not just helpful, but life-changing.

One of the things I appreciated most during my time here was how much room there was for growth and creativity. I always felt encouraged to share my voice and contribute meaningfully. SEED created an environment where I felt valued, supported, and part of something bigger than myself.

This Co-op term I've grown both professionally and personally, developing skills that I’ll carry with me long after this term ends. Perhaps even more importantly, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the importance of equitable access to employment resources, and how essential programs like S2S and YEP are in helping youth reach their full potential.

I leave this experience with a stronger sense of purpose and direction. I’m so proud to have been part of such a thoughtful, compassionate, and driven team, and I’ll always carry this experience with me as I move forward.

Thank you to everyone at SEED for welcoming me, guiding me, and inspiring me. This isn’t goodbye, it’s a heartfelt thank you and a “see you later.”
